Swecore’s "Rötter" ("Roots" in Swedish) started out as a DIY one-man cover band of Swedish punk rock classics from the 90s, but amazingly transformed into a worldwide musical collaboration.
Vocalists from The Decline, One Hidden Frame, Hack the Mainframe (at that time Heath was their lead singer), Melting Fast (this was an easy one: I’m in the band), Fast Food Society, Straightline, Day Oof and The Stifled gladly came onboard and made the project grow in a way I could have never anticipated. It all fell in place when at a Venerea show I spoke with Mike about how I was making a tribute to bands like them, and he said he wanted to be on there singing too. The honoree became an honorer!
