Patti McGee, the first female professional skater

This is Patti McGee (born August 23, 1945), the first female professional skateboarder and the 1965 Woman's first National Skateboard Champion. She was paid by Hobie/Vita Pak to travel and demonstrate the Hobie skateboard on a national level. This lasted almost a year until the craze subsided. Patti McGee was featured on the cover of Life magazine May 14, 1965 and the cover of the fourth issue of Skateboarder that same year.

In 2010, International Association of Skateboard Companies (IASC) held the "2nd Annual Skateboarding Hall of Fame Honors Six of the Most Influential Skateboarders of All Time." Patti McGee was the first female to ever be inducted into the Skateboarding Hall of Fame.
