So I know that a lot of you won't be into this, but I figured I would share this comp. I made for those who like the old school stuff. All of the bands featured either embraced skateboarding, skateboarding embraced the bands, or both. A lot of these bands were featured on the Thrasher "skate rock" tapes, or on the Santa Cruz and Powell VHS comps. I tried to get a good mix of hardcore and the more melodic mid-tempo stuff. Enjoy!

Trallpunk (Swedish for 'melodious punk') is a subgenre of punk music specially developed in Sweden. It is known for its fast drums, a melodic sound, and often politically-oriented lyrics. Generally, Asta Kask and Strebers are considered to be the first trallpunk bands, but opinions diverge on the matter. During the 1990s, trallpunk saw increased popularity, particularly due to the club Kafé 44 in Stockholm and the band De Lyckliga Kompisarna (The Happy Friends).

Just as a matter of interest, the Blount track "Discouragement"" is incorrectly titled. The correct title of the song is "22". In a live recording of the band, the singer of Blount said "This next song is called 22" and they played 'Discouragement'. So the correct title is '22' not 'Discouragement'

OK, so this compilation was done by me yesterday, the first part of a 26 songs compilation. I've tried to select random songs I really like from bands from the 90's that not too many people know or care about anymore. Why? Because it's always nice to listen to compilations with unknown bands that could make you discover your new favorite band. I've tried to mix all the subgenres of skatepunk (christian, swedish, 90's european sound, etc) so there will be songs for all tastes. All the songs are in VBR-0, the best quality I could provide you, as always. Hope you guys like some of the songs you didn't know before; I find them all pretty good.
